We cover the basics of coding agents, like context, permissions, sandboxes, and memory. Then we scale up to semi-autonomous loops that run automatically and bring our agents together. These loops contain multiple agents, not only for implementation but also for reviewing, managing sub-agents, and helping define the specification.

Working with Coding Agents

Harness Engineering

  • Using MCP tools and skills to provide specifications, repository context, and capabilities
  • Configuring permissions and managing credentials and sensitive information
  • Running coding agents in sandboxes with NVIDIA OpenShell and Docker Sandboxes
  • Setting up deterministic checks with tests, type checks, linting, and application checks
  • Working with sub-agents
  • Managing context and memory during long-running tasks

Orchestrating Coding Agents

Loop and Graph Engineering

  • Basic introduction to loop and graph engineering with Google ADK
  • Setting up a development loop with automatic reviews and a specification clarification loop
  • Starting a development loop from an event, like the creation of a GitHub issue
  • Selecting models for implementation, review, and classification (Jev)
  • Running development loops with local models
  • Running a comparative development task with Hermes
  • Self-healing: detecting failed checks, applying fixes, and checking the result

Starting knowledge: Software development experience and familiarity with version control and tests. Basic AI development experience is required.
